Chris Eisbrenner

Professor of Messianic Jewish Studies
  • Ariel Ministries Missionary/Field Representative
  • M.Div. from Shepherds Theological Seminary, 2013
  • M.A. in Christian Ministry from Shepherds Theological Seminary, 2011
  • B.S. from Philadelphia Biblical University, 1997

The Lord made his call clear to Chris in 1991, when he enrolled in Friends of Israel’s Institute of Jewish Studies (IJS). During that year God opened up His Word to Chris in a way he never imagined through a Premillennial and Dispensational understanding of scripture. Chris was blessed to visit the Holy Land that year and began to see the proper place of Israel in God’s program for the ages. This created in Chris a new and exciting love for God’s Word, and also for Israel and the Jewish people.

This led Chris to pursue a B.S. in Bible at Philadelphia Biblical University, with a minor in Jewish missions. During college he lived and volunteered as missionary trainee at Hananeel Ministries, a mission to Jewish people in the Philadelphia area. Chris was discipled those years by the Director of the mission, Reverend Thomas Huckel.

In 2005 Chris felt a strong call to ministry and began seminary work that same year. That call eventually led him to Cary, NC in 2007 to Shepherds Theological Seminary where he received a Masters of Arts in Christian Ministry in 2011, and a Masters of Divinity in 2013. During that time, Chris served for two and a half years as a missionary appointee with a local Jewish mission in the Raleigh area, where he did his M.Div. apprenticeship before God led them to Ariel Ministries.

God has given Chris a huge heart for Israel and the Jewish people, and also a passion for educating the church on a proper understanding of Israel and on the biblical importance of Jewish evangelism. Chris believes it is imperative, if we want to be true to the Bible, that this type of teaching and understanding of scripture be given priority to the next generation of leaders, and to all believers in the church.

In addition to being a Professor of Messianic Jewish Studies at ASMJS, Chris also serves as a missionary and field representative for Ariel Ministries and travels to speak in churches and mission conferences throughout the United States.
